Abstract
"Proposed Project

In the specific area of the Eidlitz site the re-development plan calls for the construction of an elevated green northwest of the existing raised 6th hole tee and the clearing and grubbing of a small wooded area east of the current 5th green (see Figure 1). It is not anticipated that any subsurface excavation will be required for the construction of the elevated green (L. Garron, pers. comm.). However, the use of heavy equipment in the construction process could potentially cause some soil disturbance.

In the area just to the east of the current 5th green some clearing and grubbing is scheduled to occur. Subsurface disturbance can be anticipated here as the removal of tree roots and other overburden will cause some soil upheaval. While we did not anticipate that the Eidlitz site shell midden would extend this far, some testing in this area was considered prudent as it lies near an intermittent creek."
