"Highlights
This Preliminary Plan has been developed by the St. Croix International Waterway Commission in accordance with a Memorandum of Understanding between the Province of New Brunswick and the State of Maine to jointly manage shared heritage resources along the portion of their border defined by the St. Croix River system. The Plan identifies international goals and policy directions for the future management of the Waterway's resources in ways that will preserve and celebrate an international heritage, maintain environmental integrity and support a sustainable, locally appropriate economy. It also proposes steps that Maine, New Brunswick and others may take in putting these policies into action."
