Abstract
"Introduction

The recent designation of the St. Croix river as a recreational waterway and nomination as a Canadian Heritage River has brought about a flurry of archaeological activity (Allen 1983, Deal 1984 a,b,c, Kopec 1984) in efforts to protect and promote awareness of New Brunswick heritage (Allen 1983a). The goal of the 1984 archaeological survey and testing program was to assess existing archaeological resources, continue the inventory of sites and identity areas of archaeological concern for future investigation."
