Abstract
"Introduction
The present study concerns the excavation of a small Ceramic period site, namely the Diggity site (BjDu17), on Spednic Lake, in the interior of southwestern New Brunswick. Spednic Lake is the largest of the sixty-one lakes which drain into the St. Croix River, and thus represents an integral part of the Chiputnicook-St. Croix Drainage System. In a separate report (Deal 1984), the author provides an overview of the archaeological resources and present understanding of the prehistory of the area surrounding this waterway."
