Abstract
"The New Brunswick and Maine Departments of Transportation have jointly undertaken a study to assess the need and feasibility of developing a new border crossing between Canada and the United States in the Calais, Maine / St. Stephen, New Brunswick area. The study was initiated in response to a desire to develop an alternative route across the border to divert heavy commercial and through vehicle traffic from the built-up portions of both St. Stephen and Calais..." 
Description
This document is a report on the findings of a 1992 study of traffic patterns occurring at the St. Stephen, New Brunswick and Calais, Maine borders crossing of Ferry Point and Milltown.
A number of contributing factors are analyzed, as well as a proposal for a new border crossing corridor.
