"This booklet, issued by the St. Croix Historical Society, Calais, ME, transcribed from the original Ganong translation, covers only that part of Champlain's recorded work in which he leaves France and arrives at St. Croix Island. We have left out his many maps and include only his map of the Island. His maps can be viewed from the web site of the Champlain Society of Canada." Pg. 2
