"Foreword

The following report presents a summary of physical, chemical, bio-assay and bacteriological data on St. Croix River waters quality complied during 1968 and prior years. Studies in the 1968 period were planned primarily as monitoring and surveillance activities which would provide information for comparison with data obtained during prior river studies in the years 1956, 1957, 1959, 1962 and 1963..."

 
Description
This document is a comprehensive report of the pollution levels that existed in the St. Croix River during a cumulative investigative report in 1968.
Particular attention is paid to untreated domestic sewage that was discharged into the St. Croix River as well as effluent discharge from wood pulp creation.
