Abstract
"A protected area is geographically-defined unit of land/or sea that is formally dedicated to the conservation of biological diversity and the maintenance of ecological processes in a natural state. These wildlands contribute toward the conservation of biological diversity, while creating development opportunities for environmental education, eco-tourism, outdoor recreation and integrated landscape management."
